Heat soaked glass is a specially treated form of toughened safety glass, subjected to an additional heat soak process after initial toughening. This involves placing the glass into a temperature-controlled oven where it is heated to around 290°C for approximately 2 hours. The primary goal is to expose and eliminate glass panes that may contain nickel sulphide inclusions—a common cause of spontaneous breakage. As a result, only glass with minimized risk of future breakage is delivered to customers, dramatically increasing safety and reliability for all applications
